Once upon a time there was a group of people hanging around cleaning and plishing their z06's,when one morning two of them named Jub and Siska came up with a idea.why not have a big party for all the people in the group.
Siska wanted to make sure they had plenty of food so him and Jub were going to go hunting for game.As the boys left for the woods ,Siska had to explain to jub,the hunting for game didn't mean women,so after Jub took his sunday suit off and put his hunting clothes on,the boys left for the woods.
Afetr six hours and only 5 mocking birds and 1 field mouse.the boys dissapointed left the woods and went to the local a nd p and bought a 10 lb bird. They figured that was enough for 500 people.
Later that day when the guest started to arrive the realized there wasn't going to be enough food.so they went to the local KFC and bought 5 lbs of potato salad,10 coen on the cob,15 chicken wings and 10 bisquits.
Returning to the party with the food,Mikesz06 stopped them and said you guys are a bounch of turkeys that's not enough food.[that's where the name turkey came from]
So mikez06 got on the phone and called his brothers.Pro expert,Power pro.Zippy Normin,Leslie,Dwjz06,Panzer,and many more started arriving with food, beer, wine evrthing needed for the party to be a hit.
That night Mikez06 said lets have this once a year on the 3rd thursday in November and we'll call it Thanksgiving.[Siska wanted to call it Halloween]
So that is how the first Thanksgiving took place.
To all my friends have Happy Thanksgiving.

This story is absolutely true! Here is a picture of Siska and JUB from those days, they were goofing off watching KittyKat TV instead cooking for the guests. You saw it here first. You have to guess who is who in the picture.

Thanks for the insightful info, Arthur! History buffs...and those IN the buff...will fully appreciate it...
And here I thought "turkey" was a term of "en-deer-ment"...
Which leads me to this 'splanation of how deer meat was named...
The following Thanksgiving, Siska and jub went huntin' again...shot somethin' big, with funny lookin' horns on its head, and dragged the mutha aaaaaaallll the way home. Skinned it, gutted it, then threw it on a flame...jub sat down and proceeded to kill some brews, while Siska chaperoned the meal, tippin' the odd brew himself...After SEVERAL barley sammiches, jub grew impatient. "When's the meal ready, Siska?!" "Veni soon", slurred Siska...
One other point...If you own a high performance version of a C5/C6 Vette, and wax and polish it endlessly, does it THEN become a "ZAIN-06"?!

Sidenote: Did you guys know that in some parts of the country you're not allowed to use the word "thanks" in Thanksgiving? It implies that you're thanking God -- so it's not allowed in some schools. They have to call it Harvest Day. What a load of PC crap!
Not only that....I also invented the internet with my buddy Al !
