I did it this passed Saturday. Man, was that some kind of fun except having to get slowed down by those slow ass sport bikes.

Sounds like fun, Jub...that's on my list of "must-visits". Bet the drive from WRAFB was fun,too. How many hours?

I was with some other vettes and we stopped several times to eat, potty break, etc. All in all, about a 10 hour trip. Heck, it only takes me 6 hours to get to BG from here. We did take all the back roads though.

Definitely a lot of fun. We stopped at Deal's Gap where all the bikes stop, and the Honda Hoot was apparently in full swing. There were 200+ bikes from all over the country of all makes and models. What a site that was.

The weather was nice the whole weekend and temp only reached about 88 in the mountains.

I highly recommend to put it on your "Places to see before you die" list!

Would like to make that run but I heard they had really stepped up patrols. Glad you didn't have any problem.
