This is my favorite vacation spot. It's called Raystown Lake, and it's a reservoir built by the Army Engineers. I've been hooked on this place since 1983. It's about 30 miles long, with 110 miles of undeveloped shoreline, and is at about 750 ft. above sea level. The record striped bass is 58 pounds, that's a big bass, they eat small dogs.
I can't wait to see the gas prices at the marina this year. I'm glad I'm only running a single Chevy V8 in the boat.
Where is your vacation spot?
We stay at the little white dot near the lower left corner.
The dam is in the upper right, yes the river flows northeast.
This year we hope to photo the Bald Eagle.
Notice the hat.

Hey Zip, I've been real lucky and traveled to Alaska three times. That's really nice, wish it was closer. I drove there twice from PA. Now that's a road trip. Hippie vans, boose, campfires, and grizzly bears make for a great time.
