Your vote COUNTS

We just had a vote.. for a referendum here in our county.. we currently have a dog track with a casino style slot machine parlor.. 1800 machines.. good for tourism , tax.. economy etc..
now our legislature wants to allow "table games" yes.. casino style.. poker, blackjack, craps, all of the above..

the election was yesterday..
we had about 50k voters.. the most ever in our area.

now..
the results.. 25,430 for 25,400 AGAINST .. . the referendum passes.... or does it. ?

there are 500 challenged ballots..

they will be counted friday and the election can then go either way..
wonder if we can get the canvass board from florida to come up here and count them for us..


this is gonna be a nail biter...

so.. your vote DOES count

Wow Mikey,
It sure sounds like your county is really split on this issue. I just hope it doesn't lead to real fighting after the final tally.......looks like there will be an equal on either side of upset population.

And yes you're right for the most part......votes count one at a time!!
