200 MPH Club

Now that I am just about finished dialing in my Twin Turbo Z I am anxious to start planning some speed runs. I just started looking into good places to safely hit the 200 MPH mark and have the times/speeds recorded. I am running just over 800 HP at the crank (700 + HP at the tires) so I'm thinking it would need to be a 4 + mile runway?

If anyone can turn me onto any planned events that are on the West coast or near by I would greatly appreciate it. Of course it would be best to go with a group of Corvettes...

Thanks,

-John

Re: 200 MPH Club

there has been talk of setting up a standing mile run here in Alameda at the old Naval Base, but as far as i have seen, it's only been talk.

It's OK that it's a 2 year old thread. The girl in the video should be legal to look at now.

Re: 200 MPH Club

800 HP will do well in excess of 200MPH. Make sure you've got the right equipment for going that fast. Not all Z rated tires are the same. You want a 99Y class Z-rated tire for >186 sustained.
