I have seen adds for the taller "lid" and the needed matching under-hood pad that came on the 2017 Z06 to 2019. I read that the cooling efficiency was improved by 50%. This didn't make sense to me that just installing a taller lid would create a huge improvement. A kind dealer parts man looked up both the 2016 and 2017 associated parts and I am still unclear. There are heat exchanger "bricks" in this unit (that sits on top of the intake). My question is are the "bricks" larger in the 2017 on up? The actual heat exchanger, located in front of the radiator, has the same part number for all years. Has anyone gotten to the bottom of the 2017 intercooler upgrade? It's expensive to replace the lid and under-hood pad. I'd hate to spend money on something that doesn't result inan improvement.
