Please help no tach signal on pin 10?????

I have looked at all the posts on this and a few other sites and have my rpm window switch hooked to the number 10 pin on the pcm it is the right wire but I can not pull a signal the digital tach reads 0 on the screen of my new 8969 msd digital window switch. We thought the unit was bad but hooked it up to my explorer and it reads fine. So from what I can tell it is hooked to the right wire and the unit does work......Im lost please help if you have had a problem like this or can shed some light.

Thanks

I did this myself a couple a years ago and remember there was a bit of an issue. Seems to me we had the left side right side mixed up.

There is a white wire under the dash on the drivers side that's much eaiser to get to.

We got it I had our tech look at the set up and I was on the wrong white wire that went into a #10 pin who ever came up with putting more than one wiring harness in the same loacation and having the wire be the same color at the same number pin .....well its working great now thanks for the feedback guys .
