Spark Plugs.....any Recommendations?

Got 10,000 miles on my Z.....It's got a lot of Mods, and has been driven HARD.......I think it's time to change the plugs. Any recommendations on the "BEST" Spark Plugs to use?

I was thinking of The Bosch Platinum with the 4 anodes.

So what do you guys use? AC, Bosch, NGK, Beru :-?

Also, any recommendations on heat range.....should I be using a "colder" plug?

Barrie,

What Carl said. After I get a few more miles will so the same.

Saw dyno of the Bosch, lost HP over stock.

The best,

I used NGK's in my "93 TT Supra and it never missed a beat :guiness:

How about plug wires? One of our vendor's has Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro Spark Plug Wires. Description sounds pretty kewl

Any suggestions?

Thanks again,

I use the Taylor 10.4mm wires...but to tell you the truth, the stock wires are PERFECTLY FINE for any stock or even a little bit of motor work, motors....

The wires are so short that you will see no gains replacing them, it would be for looks only.

The TR55VX is the plug NGK recommends for the C5. It's the single-platinum tipped version of the TR55.

The problem with the TR55 is, IMO, it's just a bit hot in its heat range for the LS6 in a car that's driven aggressively on the street or raced.

I think a better choice would be the TR6.

In any event a poor choice in plugs is the Bosch Platinum Plus 4. All those four ground electrodes do is interfere with maximum exposure of the spark to the intake charge air at the moment of ignition.

The Bosch Plus-4 is some of the same marketing flim-flam as is the Splitfire spark plug.
