Just thought I'd let y'all know that the first round of '02 allocations just came in this morning (at least here in N. Fl.) I'm #1, Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Start calling your local inventory control managers.

Can anyone confirm this? Is there any more info? I heard on another board that GM would be producing Yellow vettes first?

If you call your dealership and talk to the inventory control manager, not some salesperson, they can tell you, based on yesterdays information, how many '02 06's they will be getting in the first go around (usually delivered in August from what I'm told). My guy here in N. FL told me that between his two dealerships, only one '02 06 was allocated for the first go around and I'm the lucky guy. Ordered dripping wet black on black. Struggled with the black vs. yellow for a long time, but availability finally made the decision for me. I was told, (from the dealership but no confirmation on this)that MY would not shipping on the first allocation. I just couldn't wait another second (I'm dying as it is) and had to be the first in the area with an '02, so bad ass black it is.

My dealer seems to believe GM will build yellow first to get the more visible cars out in the market. I doubt GM is smart enough to think that way. I'll find out when it gets here I guess. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
