Talking with the Bowling Green plant today, and was told that the 02 Z06's that were built prior to the two week shutdown were being brought back in to have their brake shoes replaced with the 02 shoes. It seems that they made a few 02's with the 01 shoes. oops...

This is not delaying production, but the plant did work over the shutdown replacing shoes. Only a few more left to go and shipping of the 02's starts this Wednesday!

Sonny does retire on 7/31 and will be replaced by Keith Snelson, a 30 year GM employee! We owe Sonny a great deal of thanks for the customer service and information he has supplied to all us "Vette nuts" over the years!

The problem with Sonny's job is that it is a Union job. A bid job in other words. Senority rules!! I sure hope the new guy is as helpful and caring as Sonny was and not looking for a semi-retirement job. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif
