02s to be shipped this week??

I heard they started shipping last Wednesday.

Not true.
There are 2002's at dealers as we speak.
My dealer said he talked to the trucking company and my Z06 will be shipped tuesday or wednseday supposedly.

So my dealer is pulling my leg. I wonder if he is misinformed or simply lying. If I find out it's the latter they may get to add yet another Z06 to their inventory.

They did start shipping 2002's last Wednesday. I was down at the plant to watch my Z get built last Thursday and Friday. I talked to Wil Cooksey himself and he told me that all 2002's had passed the quality testing and that they had started shipping. My car should be here by the end of the week.

We have shipped over 200 Vetts since last Thur. I just went out to look and there is another 50 waiting to go . There is a new blue going to Fla. but there are few Z06's. MIKE

The 02's were held at the plant for about 2 weeks before being made available to ship. They were to be released on the 3rd week of July. There is a load that will drop off my stock unit and the rest up to Wash. DC area today.

It's damned hard to get any truth at all out of the automotive industry. I'm beginning to wonder if anybody at GM, from the top to the newbie salesmen, know what the hell is going on.
