That's an old trick I used to use back in the 60's when I raced every weekend, and the tires were not very good.
Not sure how much that would improve your
ETs with today's tires.
Traction is always an issue with hi-perf cars, especially when drag racing. For really the lowest ETs you need drag radials or slicks. Lauch technique seems to be very importent, especially with the Z06. Perhaps more so than tire pressure.
