I thought I might share this web site with you. He still owns the '63 Z06 he ordered in 1962.

It'd be along time before I could get one of those next to mine. But any "Stingray" would be good for me.

Tom...It was good meeting you over in Orlando with Frank and the "Dog." Really nice car you've got!

I've been e-maling Jake and he and I should be getting together soon. Hope to see you again and more forum members from the area in the future!

Hey guys thanks for the compliments. It has been great owning the Z06 for so long. I will bet that I paid less for the car new than all of you! If you want to get together in FL some time I would be glad to bring my car around or you can visit me. I live with a lot of interesting people in Daytona Beach. My neighbors include Mark Martin, Richard Childress, Mike Skinner, Wally Dallenbach and Benny Parsons. We have out own Corvette club with over 25 cars. It is easier to view my site at www.z06vett.com

I think most will agree with Tom. The 63-67 were the really great vettes and last great ones in many respects, styling and performance. Before I bought my Z06, I was considering a 63-67. After driving a 2000 C5 and then hearing about the Z06, I decided to hold off on the older vette. I feel that GM did wake up and make the vette great again!

Tom, do you know what is planned for the parade lap as far as alignment? Do you think the Z06s may be the lead cars?

Z06vett, are you by chance attending the Rolex24 this weekend Feb 3rd & 4th? It would be nice to see your '63. Many of us will have our '01s there. I am driving up from Melbourne Saturday morning to join in the parade lap and watch some vettes kick some butt. As you know the Earnhardts are sharing driving duties with Andy Pilgrim in the C5-R. SO, there will be some NASCAR blood there. Hope to see you and your '63 there!

I will be in the parade lap with the C5Registry and would like to see the last 2 cars to be a '63 and an '01 Z06.
The '63-'67 Vets to me were the last of a real balls to the wall no pu$$y footin' around Corvette. Then came the FRC. we are back, GM listened and gave us back the Corvette as it was intended. Thanks GM!!!!
Sorry folks but if you are not bright enough to know when to turn on your headlights you should be driving a Caddy./ubb/smilies/tongue.gif /ubb/smilies/tongue.gif
I am just getting started, it will all come out in the FRC section.
Finally a Real Corvette.
Coupes, we have the real coupes those darn targa hatchbacks have our name.

I hope to see you guys at the track this weekend. I only live 8 miles from the track in the same community with Skinner, Childress, Dallenbach and Martin. Benny Parsons just bought a house here also. It is a neat place to live, we have our own paved runway for all the Nascar planes.

By the way the 3 car was fastest in class today in Qual the 2 car was second they were 4th and 5th overall behind the all out open cockpit racers. The 44 Vette was fastest in its class so not a bad day. The Phoneix shall rise!
