Greetings!

What would be the best route to upgrade a 1999 FRC hp from 345hp to something comparable with the Z06 405hp?

Chip, induction changes, mass sensor...???...

Don't want to spend thousands...just need 50+ hp....

Thanks!

A cam, headers, and CIA should get you there. It's gonna cost a couple grand though. :guiness:

It all comes down to how fast you want to go and how big your wallet is.

i'd let her breathe - blackwing, k&n, or CAI. followed by long tube headers, freeflow cats, and exhaust. with a retune, should get you close to 50HP. that should cost you a couple grand, and you don't even have to open the engine.

Blackwing, Kooks headers w/Cats, Z06 catback, 220/224 581 581 114lsa Cam and you must get a Dyno tune. With all this I'm at 368 rwhp/358 rwtq
Don't forget the gearing on a Z06 is a little lower.
It will cost you about 5 thousand with labor to get Z06 power without the gears.

Oh well....screw it...bought a Z...
Yep :thumb:

I would still recommend a good set of LT headers and an intake kit, plus a tune. You will be amazed how much this will wake up the Z.
