Construction of the Beta pre production cars revealed the first assembly line problem with the C6 Z06. It happened on the paint line.

The Carbon Fiber front fenders are so light the paint sprayers ended up just blowing them around and couldn't lay down even the primer coat. They now have to clamp them down to a jig when going thru the paint line spray booth.

Isn't this old news? I remember reading about it in a press release in January - GM was putting a positive spin on the issue by demonstrating how light the CF panels are.

Yep, there was also an article in a magazine (Motor Trend?) that highlighted the same thing back in Jan/Feb.
