Here's another article on the 2002 Z06. This article gives some of the stats on the 2002 that I haven't seen elsewhere. For example, they list the curb weight of the 2002 as 3118 lbs. If that's true, then the Z06 got 12 pounds lighter this year. Wow, the Z06 is surely going to go down as a watershed Vette. How much more could Chevy have up their sleeves for the 50th anniversary?

NetJunkie,

There is a difference between dry weight and curb weight. Curb weight is the dry weight plus the weight of fluids (oil, gas, etc.)

We are talking curb weight here. The curb weight for a 2001 Z06 is 3130 lbs.

See the following two articles on the 2001 Z06 from the same publisher. Curb weight for the 2001 Z06 is listed in both.

However, thanks for noticing the post. It's always nice to get feedback from other members.

NetJunkie,

Chevy indicates on the page you reference that 3115 lbs is an estimated weight. Many of the car mags have put an actual Z06 on the scales and come up with 3130 and even 3133 in one case (I'd be happy to share the links.) But yours is a great link with lots of good info straight from the source.

Not only a power sun roof but a "rear-seat". What's up with that? I thought I was full of misinformation when I wrote a "review" on the current Z06, but this article takes the cake. At least the author has good taste in cars . . . that's a stunning pic of the QS edition Z06.

And what's up with the "front seat side air bags"? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
