When I change the gears to the 3.73 Getrag, I want to change out the clutch & hydraulics while I am at it. I have been told that the 2002 Z06 parts are improved over those in the the 2001 Z06. Is that correct?

The part numbers that I have at present are 12570281 for the clutch assembly and 12562767 for the slave/throwout bearing assembly. Are these correct, or are there new numbers for the 2002 Z06?

Figured this would be the place to ask!

Hi there,
Yes, there are new part numbers for the LS6 clutch. However, nothing is in GM parts as of yet for this assembly.
Remember, that the new clutch has higher clamping force, revised damping springs, and a better friction material, and from what the engineers are telling me, it should rock.
best to you, c4c5
