Is there any chance of adult beverages being served at this event?
You are welcome to run the show if you like!! PLEASE:drunken:
WinterFest has had the 'last weekend of Feb, 1st of Mar time frame.....'
Dates revolve around Pro Auto Sports' calendar.........
Firebird road racing as been the center point of the last two........
That will continue..........
BG has the WART, we have Firebird!!
I believe this one is better for this area!!
I have put together an outline of events.
This far out it's just ideas!!
This sounds like a good basis Steve, and since you are unemployed with all that FREE time....Yeah, what Tom said. It would be no problem to set up a block of rooms at the Hotel. I think Ken has already lain the ground work for that. We just need to settle on some dates and get this rolling so people have time to plan.
I can put together a cruise for Thursday (maybe not as cool as the WART tour) if there is interest, and we can see some Arizona sites. There's lots to do and see... the Grand Canyon, old gold mine tours, ghost towns, jeep tours into the desert, Casinos with shows, Yarnell Hill twisties (the locals know about Yarnell Hill), river boat dinner cruises, PIR (that's Hwy 89, or Pason International Raceway as the locals call it)
For those who don't wish to drag race, the world's largest on-going car show is held in Scottsdale every Saturday. The second Saturday of the month is Corvette Saturday and there will be a hundred or so Vettes, along with just about any other kind of custom car you might want to see. You name it, we have it.
Should we start a poll to gauge interest?
Oh.And? Just how far was that buddy? I wasn't at any ZO6Fests....
I see.
The Hotel will probably be the same as last year and that's south and everything that's fun to drive is north, so the 3 options I know of for twisties range from 150 to 250 round trip miles from the Hotel. I figure we can do that in about 45 minutes.
J/K again!
There are some fine restaurants at mid point, whichever route we take and I think a lunch cruise would be a good idea myself, to break up the long drive.
I guarantee if you go on one of these, you'll get your fill of twisties for awhile.
