Yeah, what Tom said. It would be no problem to set up a block of rooms at the Hotel. I think Ken has already lain the ground work for that. We just need to settle on some dates and get this rolling so people have time to plan.
I can put together a cruise for Thursday (maybe not as cool as the WART tour) if there is interest, and we can see some Arizona sites. There's lots to do and see... the Grand Canyon, old gold mine tours, ghost towns, jeep tours into the desert, Casinos with shows, Yarnell Hill twisties (the locals know about Yarnell Hill), river boat dinner cruises, PIR (that's Hwy 89, or Pason International Raceway as the locals call it)
For those who don't wish to drag race, the world's largest on-going car show is held in Scottsdale every Saturday. The second Saturday of the month is Corvette Saturday and there will be a hundred or so Vettes, along with just about any other kind of custom car you might want to see. You name it, we have it.
Should we start a poll to gauge interest?
This sounds like a good basis Steve, and since you are unemployed with all that FREE time....
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday sounds good. Is this going to be a 4 day Fest, with Wednesday being arrival and Sunday is departure or is it Monday?
I never been on them Yarnell Twisties. How long is it?
Maybe we can incorporate the twisties before or after the DYNO day? Or both depending how far it is away from dyno..... I would like to get some video of us as well.
Firebird Track all day on Friday followed with dinner at Rustler's Roost?
Speedworld Saturday followed dinner at _________???, then to the Pavillions? Maybe we can get reserved slots for our grand arrival? Like, if we have a total of 15 Vettes coming out, the Vette crew "out there" can reserve us some slots..... If not, I will volunteer to go sit out there with some DO NOT CROSS THIS LINE tape to save us some slots as long as someone kept me company and you guys brought us dinner! Hahahahaha......
I think a nice group photo with cars is in order. Steve do you know any place that has a nice back drop where we can arrange our cars in a half moon/semi-circle and still get up high enough to get a pic looking down? A balcony, stairwell etc. Keep your eyes open for a big area, field, etc with nice back drop. And no, TARGET don't count. If need be, We can always throw a 6' ladder on Kens roof.

p:
Well, I know some of you were doubtful of the Winterfest poster, but I have to tell you...I had one printed, and it is now the proud owner of a black frame and hanging in my garage. It looks awesome!
Since they are $50.00 each by Staples, I am willing to RAFFLE IT OFF.
I mean, it would be a nice keep sake. Depending on how many people wish to participate, will determine cost of tickets. Just enough so one lucky person gets the poster, and I get enough money to buy one again.....(with another frame) Must be present to win! Hahahahahaha So come on out!!!!
So, if we have 70 people show, tickets will be $1.00
If 25 people show, tickets will be $3.00 etc.
Or I can just buy 200 tickets and sell them at $1.00 each and you can buy as many as you want. But we must reach 70 ticket sales to raffle so I can get my poster and frame again.
I think it would be nice if we all signed the back of it and then did the raffle.
Really, it looks awesome!!! I iwll take a pic and post it.
Its just a suggestion and I like to bring a little to the table, ya know?
If you want T Shirts, let me know in advance so I can make sure they get done. But, I won't have them printed unless I know 100% we have 35 or more selling. I put out $500 or so upfront last year to get them made. Depending on how many screens they need to create determined the overall costs. Usually no more than $15.00 but the average last year was $10.00 per shirt because the screen/vector image was already created from the year before.
A new design yeilds new screens. = higher costs, but should not be higher than $15.00 a shirt.
Let me know.
If you want smaller posters, I can order some. But, the one I am willing to raffle is 24" x 36".
Knowing my luck, my car will die by then.
