Will 295/40 17 Kumho 710's fit on the OEM wheels? Z is lower .
You may want to go to the Tire Rack site, one of our supporting vendors. and look up there spec chart. See what various tire makers recommend for a 17/9.5" wheel. That tire might be a little wide for a 9.5" wheel. I have mounted a 285 Michelin Pilot Sport on a 9.5"/17 without any problems.

If you go to the Tire Rack website, pick your size and click on Specs you will see that the recommended rim width for the Kumho 295 is 10-11.5". Given that the fronts are 9.5", a 295 would not be a good choice.

I have mounted 295/40/17 Kumho V710's on stock Z06 front rims. No problems at all.

One of my autocross buddies has the same size tire on a stock C-5 rim (8.5") Seems to work okay even for that small rim. He wanted to stay in the Stock class.

I agree with Steve. 295s on the front Z06 rims is no problem. Most, if not all, of the top SCCA autocrossers use this size on the fronts.
