Whoever has the 3.90 gers in their Z06, I'de like to know what performance enhancements it has afforded you in acceleration, either from a stand still or after downshifting. Does anyone know what mph you are shifting at in 1st, 2nd, 3rd with these 3.90 gears compared to stock 3.42 gears?

I've had 3.90's on a near stock car for over a year. I do believe the car is funner to drive. The acceleration is better but it is hard to appreciate on F1 tires.With drag radials you will feel the difference more. From a stoplight, it will likely more difficult to launch, and thus hurt your short time. (Will take more finesse). Anyway a great, fun mod just don't want you to think you'll be pulling several car lengths on another z06 with 3.42's.

IT L GO`s speeds at 6500 are about right, but the speedo & tach lag so much if you wait for those speeds to shift you will have hit the limiter! I shift at about 38, 58, & 88, The 390`s really wake up an almost stock Z! :cheers:
