I first must clarify in case GM's warranty police are listening, the following information is of course about a friend /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif.

My friend pulled a 12.626 on the best run /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif, his best ever.

Here are the links to the time slips, that I graciously posted for him.

The car is completely stock. Lauched between 2000 and 2500 RPM with careful gas pedal control. 1/4 tank gas, normal 38 PSI, stock street tires.

For the first time there were other vettes there, several sharks, and another 2001 (non Z06). There was also a nice white ZR-1, wanted my friend to run him, but alas, didn't get the chance. The two sharks he did run didn't come close /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif.

38 psi???? Why?? I thought I read somewhere that people actually lower the tire pressure to get more traction. Am I missing something here?

thanks

Scott, great times! Tell me was your "friends" car an 01 or an 02. I noticed the trap speeds were a little slow. Probably that 90% humidity! Thanks for sharing the great times.
