OK, I will hopefully be getting my '02 EB Z06 and I had a questin for you current Z owners. Has anyone had any probelms with the front screens rusting or anything like that? Is there a coating available to help them hold up? Do the ducts on the sides tend to chip or fade easy? How hard is it to install the power antennae mod? ...... Thanks for listening and I look forward to seeing you all next year in my EB(HA HA FRANK!!) Z06!! If my Coupe hasn't sold, I'll see you all in a few weeks. I'll be in the MY Coupe with "CYAFORD" plates. Later!

Ted, Sherylann and I drive our Zs 365 days a year in all kinds of inclimate weather. The screens are made of stainless ateel...they won't rust and are holding up very well. The rear duct have a tendency to get tiny nicks, but aren't really noticeable unless you get down and look for them. I use Son Of A Gun on my rear ducts to keep them black. Sherylann uses a tire dressing on hers.

Under CorvetteForums Tech Tips you will find information on the power antenna install, written by BOBSZ06.

What Frank said.

The wide tires on the Z06 tend to create a fair amount of chipping aft of each wheel well and to the rear air scoops. Only way around it is some form of mud flaps. Most of us just resign ourselves to the chips.

Thanks alot guys! The closer I get to ordering the Z06 the more questions I seem to come up with.....

So Frank, who's method seems to be working better? You might not want to post your answer. I'd hate for you to be put in the dog house... /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Congrats on the Z06!!

As far as the nicks aft of the wheels, I think that will depend on where you live. I recently moved from Colorado and with all rocks and sand they put on the roads there I am sure, had I stayed, I would have them too. Here in Hawaii the roads are excellent and as of now have no problems with paint nicks. If "ANYTHING" would rust on a Z06 this is the place to see it. Nothing so far /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif:D
