Does anyone know why my new Z06 would come off the truck at the dealership and have 44 miles on the odometer?

Yours could very well have been selected to take the road test audit. The plant elects one out of every so many to perform this test. Just a Quality Control type test. Plus figure in the trip off the assembly line to the wheel alignment rack,then off to the dyno machine at the end of the assembly process.....they take them up to around 75 miles per hour,so while they are doing this,the miles would be racking up......Just some thoughts.....Anybody else have more info?

I toured the plant last week. Consider your Z special! The plant QC personel checked and tested your Vette! The tour guide told me that this could be verified by the dealer. Check it out! I'ts a positive! Problem free. Now go and enjoy! FUBU69/LES

If indeed you were selected for a QA drive you will find a small slip of paper in your glove box or owners manual. It will state that your car was driven at the factory and that the mileage will be added to your warranty. I have one of these

Thanks guys for the info...the dealer thinks it was pulled for the QA test...unfortunately no slip with the car. they stated they were going to look into it with the factory and let me know. Cra came through perfect and is AWSOME!

Everyone has already forgotten about the truck driver in S. CA that crashed a new Corvette while taking it for a "test drive". Well, it does happen, and most of the time we don't hear about it...thank god.

My new MY (Got it Tuesday! Woo!) had 20 miles on it when it rolled off the truck. They told me the same thing but I didn't find any slip of paper in the owners manual. Will check the glove compartment tomorrow.
