I placed an order for a Millennium Yellow Z06 on June 6th. My dealer has told me that my order number is DMCG8S, but they don't have a target production week yet. They say my event status code is 1100. I haven't heard of anything below event status code 2001. Does anyone know if this is a valid event status code?

My dealer claims that the delay is due to the Yellow color. Does anyone know if this is true or just BS from my dealer?

2001- order generated to dealer
2005- order replaced with GM prospect order
2050- order changed
2500- order sent to production, preference
3000- order accepted by production control
3100- order available to sequence, target production week should be set
3400- order broadcasted for production, should have sequence number
3800- vehicle produced
4150- vehicle invoiced to dealer
4200- vehicle shipped
5000- vehicle delivered to dealer
6000- vehicle delivered to customer
6010- vehicle delivery change

Don't worry about the #'s below 3000. You have a Seq # which is what will track it now. I have yellow also and even in 01 it was a constrained color, but it is worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI - I found out on another board that the 1100 event status code means "Preliminary Order Added".

I guess I'm not the only one in the Millennium Yellow holding pattern... I just hope I take delivery before Chicago's winter road salting starts. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Anyone know why the MY color is constrained? I've heard various rumors, i.e. takes longer to produce, multiple paint shop passes, and "extra photons", but does anyone know the real reason?

Fact...The MY is almost always on constrait. It is a two step process to paint, compared to other colors on the Z06. The clear coat is tinted.
