I've been leaking either trans fluid or diff fluid so I crawled under the car to check it out and I noticed that there is a significant amount of aluminum powder along the mating surfaces of the transmission and the differential. I would guess it means the two surfaces are grinding against each other and pulverizing the aluminum. Has anyone else seen this before?

I haven't read much about leaks there. I have, or had, a very small leak developing between the tranny and the diff after 3.5 years on the stock tranny and diff and lots of abuse. I am getting the tranny and diff rebuilt right now as it is a convenient time for me. I'll replace the seal there while they are out.
