I thought Rogers Corvettes had more integrity than to sell a Z06 poser, much less advertise it as the spotlight car. I'm very disappointed.

I didn't think that he wold go through the trouble of putting the Z06 seats on.

Well, it looks like Corvette Hardtop prices will be going up in value, since all of thm are being converted into Z's.

Now, Frank,
Don't you wish that you would've keep those two HT's. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Anybody that is selling Z06 parts, might look at [bPOSER[/b] Hardtop owners as potential customers. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

gadrix,

Welcome to the forum!!

I wonder if the original seller's intent was to actually pass the car off as a Z to begin with. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif

Thanx for the welcome,

The guy even lists it as a 2002. If your going to put 50k into a fake, why not buy the real deal?
It met reserve last time. I am guessing the winning bidder thought he had a Z. THAT would be embarassing (for the bidder).

Gee, I hope my Z06 doesn't explode from being on the ultra-edge real deal.....

It's fun being able to spot the gotcha's like you all did in earlier posts.

Fakes suck! Every time someone blows one's
doors off, they will say they beat a Z06.
In a short time, I predict that there will be
twice as many Z06's than what GM actually produced.

I think GM needs to give the real Z06 owners something unique that they won't sell retail and that is Trademarked GM. After all, it is supposed to be a special vehicle isn't it?????? C'mon, just a little sum'm-sum'm for the boys, and girl(s)?

On the other hand, it will start "stiring the pot" when it comes to conversation, "is that a real Z06?" Unless people know the VIN's, it's going to be hard to prove. Although, there is the cool ass cover on my owner's manual, and Z06 pen! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

It'll be tough to fake the year on the title though. Isee no problem with look alikes as long as someone doesn't try to mislead someone into getting something they're not. I saw a 57 Bel Air with chrome Z06 wheels on it. When people start copying something, that's the sincerest form of flatulence, right?? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I think Z06 prices will recover as soon as the unsold stock works it's way out of the system.
