I have really been thinking about this especially given thta my '01 I have a chunk down on but remainder is financed at about 7.25%. That means about $150 per month is financing.
Wonder what they would give me for a 6000 mile '01 in good shape?

I have wondered this same thought myself, but I think you are looking at somewhere between $38K and $41K in trade-in value, maybe...

The thought never crossed my mind because:

1. I'd take a big hit on depreciation.

2. Lotsa time, money and hard work in my highly moded car.

3. If you get 10-20% of the cost of your mods when selling,
your very fortunate.

4. My car is faster than an '02, and the brake and suspension
mods will be forth coming on my '01. Much more can be done
such as a SUPERCHARGER!! My Z is a work in progress, and
I've grown very fond of the "old" girl.....

5. I may keep this one.

6. I'm waiting for the C6. If it's like the C5, it will have some
bugs during the first 2 years. The High Performance version
may take another 3 years.....that would make it a 2008. At
9,000 miles a year, my '01 will have only 63,000 miles on
the clock.....then I'll make the big decision:guiness:

Barrie

I am thinking, with the 0% only on new cars, the market for used Z's (and any other, almost new car) is gonna take a hit. Till the financing deal expires.

50,000 - 3 years - $1389/mo @ 0% no down

40,000 - 3 years - $1244/mo @ 6.75% no down

I thought about it for a little while. I think I'll pass until 2003since I've only had mine for 3 months. Also who knows what 2003 may bring us??????:z: :z: :z:
