As I move toward taking my cam and head Z to the next level with a stroker, I am trying to decide between the 383/385 and the 422/428 sleeved LS6 (not the C5R block). The smaller size has been around for some time and seems to last. The other sizes are relatively new I think.

I use the car as a daily driver and a weekend track (driver's ed) car and want it to be durable and drivable.

Any ideas here? Thanks for your thoughts!

I also live in So. Cal. Are you putting a cage/harnesses in your car? If so, who is doing the work?

MMS will do the stroker. I already have the BK harness and a Sparco 6-point--very good quality. As of now, I am going with a 385. The 422/428 does not seem to be the ticket for my application UNLESS I want to pony up for the C5R block--which I do not.

Contact MMS for pricing! I saved a bit (a small bit) as I am coming off a cam, heads and headers package.
