Hey guys,

I need some information from the "expets" or "mechanics" on this forum.

I want to know what I should expect if I disconnect the battery on the Z06? Both the positive and the negative.

Looking to install custom audio system, and I will need to do this in order to proceed with the install....when I get the Z06 that is. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

You'll just have to reprogram your radio. Your Z will go through a relearn, but that is no biggy.

errr..it won't start when the battery is disconnected. But it will when you re-connect./phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif J/K

I disconnected mine for the winter with no ill effects.

VPRKLLR, please edit your sig, it takes up a whole screen....waayyy too long....we like to minimize scrolling as much as possible otherwise we get pages and pages of nothing but sigs....

I think you also need to re-program your key fobs for lock-unlock your doors. Just check your owner's manual.

Just an FYI, midamerice sells a little thingy plugs in the cig lighter and holds the memory on car for unplugging the bat!!!!!!!!

HI there,
Just remember, if the radio is not going to be reinstalled, you will get a NO COMM when scanning for codes on the DIC.
Not a biggy, just a thing.
