I have pretty much decided to order the Blackwing intake. Is there a different model for the Z06, and where is the lowest cost place to get one.

Anyway, yes, you'll need an adapter to make it fit any '01 car, which is included when you buy the kit from us at c5store.com.

Finally made time to install my Donaldson Blackwing air filter today using the adapter hose and I love it! The sound is improved over just the Corsa Indy exhausts I had installed last week. Some people complain about the inboard boat motor sound, but Zippy /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif loves it....Can't wait till I hit the hi-way next week for the trip to Bowling Green in my new Chris-Craft /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I installed mine a week ago. I am not sure if I can detect much difference. One thing that was not clear form the instructions is that you discard the collar that comes with the Blackwing, and just use the 2" adapter. I also had to snip off the wire holder that holds the MAF sensor wire.

We have seen up to 17 rear hp on the LS1 and 14hp on the LS6s. The donaldson does work and the fit and finish is A+.
