Well, I did it today, bought a 2002 electron blue loaded Z06 with the black interior. I searched around and found one for $1,500. off list. It should be here in August and I am thrilled. Bill

Just a little advice...NEVER turn off your Active Handling. Just ask my buddy Ram Air Tony over at CF. He turned his off and a tree jumped out and got him. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I turned mine off ONCE and was doing a little showing off, short shifted and I lost complete control of the Z. It got away from me so fast that I didn't know what happened. Luckily I didn't hit anything!!

Bill, my advice is simple. Don't buy a new Z06. Why not? Because if you do, it will literally take over your life. Just ask millions of other owners who first bought a Corvette at some point since 1953. I'd bet the vast majority will take one (or more) of these cars to their grave. There's just something about a Corvette that makes for a life long love affair with a machine. It's like having a mistress. Congrats on your new EB! I also will hopefully pick mine up towards the end of August. Like you, got $1,500 off of MSRP - don't think either of us could have gotten much more off from waht I have heard.

I second the sentiment that you should go for a Museum Delivery if you can. From everything I hear, it's well worth the $$ - I'll find out soon!!

The salesman is Criag Leonard and he was terrific, upfront and honest. His phone number is 845-986-7277. He has a demoed white 2001 Z06 for sale on the lot. I bet it sells very reasonable. Tell him Bill sent you! Hey, any maintenance advise or "goodies" must haves? Bill

After years of saving I finally ordered my first vette.After calling several dealers in the area I finally found one that had an allocation left for a 2002 z06.My car will be black with black interior.The only problem is the car is expected to arrive about the time winter hits here so it will remain in storage until spring.

I can't wait to get my Z06 and let it take over my life. I probably wont go home the day i drive it off the lot till my car is about to run out of gas. Ive test driven it twiceand im adicted to it already. Its all I can think of right now.
