I have an M6 2000 C5 with a duel friction centerforce clutch. It drives great on the street, but the other day I took it to the drag strip and ran it with DR's. It ran decent at first then came the clutch smell and I think the clutch was slipping. It would bog down off the line (more than usual with DR's) and my trap speed went down 3mph. At one point I remember the clutch pedal sticking to the floor and slowly coming up, but only in first gear. I have read some threads on the clutch sticking to the floor and what to do about it, but none of the posts said anything about a burnt clutch smell! I'm scared to drive it at the track now!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

It has around 11000 miles on it. I'll try to launch it at lower rpms. I would think that it should be able to handle the hard launches though.............Very frustrating!!!
