Hello everyone. I'm wanting to change all the fluids on my 2006 z06, with 14k miles that i just picked up.

Looks like everyone just bleeds the fluid through the caliper bleed screws, but i have noticed a little chatter on other sites about bleeding the ABS unit?

Anyone know if this is an issue when bleeding the brakes in your garage? Does the ABS need to be 'activated' to flush it out? Does this require a special machine?

Or does the standard pedal pump / vacuum device work when bleeding brakes?

Thanks!!

I bleed every time I put my 2007 Z06 on the track, have never 'bled' the ABS. Actually, if you do anything it needs to be flushed. The little bit of old fluid in the ABS has never been a problem for me, and it gradually works its way out.
