How cool to have the history so well documented! Got a question, though: looks like you had a black roof at one time, but perhaps didn't like it and went back to stock roof?

Yeay, the black roof was done in Plastidip - I just thought it was a simple way to test the waters before committing to painting. At the time I was chastised by some purists over at the Corvette Forum for doing it. Then a year later PlastiDip become mainstream.

At some point I got tired of the heat retention and peeled it off.

I am about to install C6 ZR1 brakes to fill the new wheels - but may opt for 2 piece iron rotors rather than the carbon ceramics to have a better pad choice.

Nice, Another long term owner. I hope the 66 still gets lots of road time.
The way I see it I have another 45 years, God willing and me able, to enjoy the Z :)
Am I being over ambitious wanting to still drive this car when I am 95 years old?

I think it will be - at least in year 1. Look at al the YouTube stars rushing to buy the base model on day 1 just to have the car for content and viewership.
This may mean a lot of crazy used deals when they dump them after a year. LOL
