The C6 Z06 will be a HOOT to drive right off the showroom floor, and will be track ready, even more so than the C5 Z06.

However as we learned with the C5 Z06, there will be somethings that need to be improved for competition & DE's; all according to the sanctioning body rules, of course.

Here are my ideas:

BRAKES: Larger but with drilled rotors, Individual piston pads
- Install NEW Cryogenic treated, Slotted ONLY rotors
- Install NEW Racing Compound Pads (Individual)
- Install NEW Racing Fluid
- Install NEW SS Braided Lines
- Install NEW Duct extensions
- Install NEW Hub Ducts
- Install NEW Speedbleeders
- Install NEW SS or F1 Titanium Tipped & Vented Caliper Pistons
- New OEM PBR Calipers should be sufficient.

SUSPENSION: Revised with larger sway bars
- NEW HardBar Rear Titanium Spring Perch Bolts
- NEW HardBar Front SS Spring Perch Bolts with Delrin Bushings
- Lower slightly
- Corner Balance
- Racing Alignment
- Install NEW Poly Graphite Bushings
- Install NEW DA Penske Racing Shocks with Remote Reservoirs
- Install NEW Hemi-Jointed Spherical Sway Bar End Links
- Keep OEM Sway Bars (initially)
- Keep OEM Springs (initially)
Later Options: (if necessary)
- Install NEW T1 Sway bars
- Install VB&P Extreme Springs
OR
- Convert Penske DA's to TA's & Coil Over

WHEELS & TIRES:
- Lightweight Race Wheels with Magnesium centers & Titanium hardware, Heat Treated Aluminum barrels:
10.5x18 Front with +0.25" offset,
12x18 Rear with +0.25" offset
- A/R Compound race Slicks:
305/30x18 Front,
335/30x18 Rear

BODY:
- NEW vented CF Hood
- NEW CF Front Fascia with larger splitter
- NEW CF Rear Fascia with larger Spoiler
- NEW Titanium Tunnel Plate
- NEW Polycarbonate/Lexan rear window

INTERIOR:
- NEW HardBar or BK Harness Bar
OR
- NEW Roll Bar/Roll Cage
- NEW Sparco Evo 3 Seat(s)
- NEW HardBar Seat Bracket(s)
- NEW Simpson or Team Tech Race Harness
- NEW Hurst Shifter (if the upgraded OEM does not feel good)
- NEW HardBar C5R Shifter Knob
- NEW 2.5# Halon Fire Extinguisher
- NEW FE Mount
- NEW FE Bracket
OR
- NEW Safecraft 20# Fire Suppresion System
- NEW Energency Battery/Ignition Shut OFF Switch
- New CF Racing Steering Wheel

DRIVETRAIN: (Tranny & Diff are upgraded & strengthened)
- NEW CF Power Shaft
- NEW Aluminum Power Shaft Coupler
- NEW HD Racing Clutch (LUX, Spec, Excedy, QuarterMaster)
- Blueprint Tranny (Has New 1 piece 2nd shaft)
- Install NEW Synthetic ATF in Tranny
- Blueprint Diff.
- Install NEW hardened Output shafts
- Install NEW Seperate Diff Cooler
- Install NEW Synthetic High Pressure Gear Lube
- Install NEW Tranny/Diff. Brace
- Install NEW VB&P Tranny/Diff. Mount
- Install NEW VB&P Engine Mount

Electrics:
- Install NEW Lightweight Braille OR Odyssey Racing Battery

DELETE:
- A/C
- Radio & Speakers
- Air Bags

NOTE: LS7 Engine, Cooling, Flyweel addressed in previous thread.

What have I omitted ??

Yeah that's what I was thinking too! DJ better bring your wallet. The stuff you listed sounds like the cost of two more Z's.

How about delete factory fogs and

install brake cooling duct work up to the fog light openings? I hope someone makes a coversion kit in the future. The ducts then run directly to the backing plates w/ cool air.

Then, maybe insert tiny pencil beam fogs w/in the fog openings or mount after market units at the edges of the radiator opening. PIAA makes some good looking fogs that I'll bet are brighter (and certainly better-looking) than the chessey factory fog lights, IMHO.

Perhaps reading the ol' rule books is in order. Who knows what will be allowed in different classes/series?
