I too want to get rid of the stock weights, and replace them with the tape type ASAP before too much damage to the wheels. Does anyone know which tire company has the right equipment to do the job right, and lift my precious car correctly? i.e. Les Swab, etc

I went to....

...my local Goodyear shop. They are racers and know about wide wheels and tires. I have had a great relationship with them. They also have computer spin balance equipment, which is essential. Couple of hints:

1. They placed a piece of duct tape over the stick on weights, just to be sure.

2. They not only circumferentially balanced the wheels but cross balanced it as well. ie there are weights not only on the inside lip of the rim, but also on the inner rim near the spoke/hub. No weights on the outside.

3. Make sure they hand torgue the nuts. DO NOT let them use the air impact wrench.

4. Recheck/retorque the lug nuts in 3 days.

Members have recommended the Hunter 9700 machine for stock and aftermarket wheels. Follow this link to find a machine in your area. http://www.gsp9700.com/ There are several in the Seattle area. :)
