After driving the car in this searing heat, 100F, my check engine light came on at lunch yesterday. It was on this AM driving to a client's site, then went off today at lunch. Is there any way to find out what caused this, by checking the DIC? I don't know how to check for codes, read a long post here some time ago about it. Should I forget about it because the light is off now? Can I assume the car fixed itself? Hope you guys can help.

Somebody turn down the heat. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Hi there,
yes, this is a code for the injector control circuits.
HOwever, it will NOT give you an exact cylinder.
As long as it is running ok, you will be fine, and it will have to be taken in for a complete diagnosis for this condition.
There is not really anything that can be done about this one, sorry.
Please keep us posted on your progress, ok??
Best to you, c4c5
