The brake pressure sensor is located on the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) The service traction control DTC will set when the C1296 does. The EBCM is the silver box below the alternator with the brake lines attached to it. There are several possible causes for this DTC and they all involve electrical troubleshooting. eg: poor connections, short to ground, short to voltage, bad sensor, etc. You'll probably need the service manual to effectively troubleshoot this.

Kinda figured I'd need a manual at some point, anyway. I've been in electronics for years, so I have a lot of the test equipment needed, and access to even more. I'm kinda figuring it's the sensor, but I'd like to test it to be sure. Will the manual give me a pinout of the sensor, and/or tell me how to troubleshoot it?

Lee, not 100% sure that this is applicable to your code, but there is a sensor located just underneath the brake master cylinder reservoir. Maybe check to see if its properly connected?

 

Yes, it has the procedure for troubleshooting that code but you may need a scan tool (Tech 2) as well.
