I've only heard of 1 unconfirmed column lock problem on a Z06.

Frank, I bought the column lock bypass before I got the Z. I haven't put it in yet. I am moving to Scottsdale this summer. HOT-HOT-HOT. What would you do?

I have one on my C5 and one in a box for my 02' Z06, I have had 3 Z06 customers that have had their cars flat bedded to the dealer's in my area to be repaired. One guy had his exhaust bent taking the car off the flat bed, he has been waiting for the parts for about 2 months from the dealer.

Finally got time to installing mine today. Got it from Nate at XTREME. Came with detailed instructions. Made install very easy. Took about 45 minutes. The lighter adapter made it a snap.

Thanks for the info.Think I might install one to be on the safe side.Don't want to be in the middle of nowhere, (I don't live too far from there)and find myself thumbing.How may other GM vehicles have this problem??? Thanks JG

I have had 3 Zaino customers with Z06's that all had to be flat bedded, fixed the problem, I would guess not.

Hmm.. pull key.. I received that last time I gassed up... I thought it might have soemthing to do with me checking the oil and pulling the dipstick... that was the only thing that i did unusual on that gas up... I recieved it around 700 miles...
