I am confused about the modes?

The normal mode on startup gives you?

If you turn the TC of do you still have active handling?

If you go into Comp mode what happens?

I thought I had it all figured out, now I confused myself LOL!

I don't want to find out the hard way..... :bang:

The best answer lies in your owner's manual....check it out. I've had five new Vettes since 1999m and I still learn new things from the manual.

I read the manual that is where I got more confused, I think I have it all figured.

Normal on start up

One tap of the button all off

Hold button Comp mode ah on and tc off

You got it right. I recommend that you never drive on the public roads with everything off. Even the some of the best drag racers on this board, use competitive mode at the drag strip. :z:

when you start up the vette, everything is on (ah and traction on)

hold the button down for 5-7 sec, you will see COMP mode come on the DIC

I run comp mode at the track (traction off, ah on)

on the street-just normal, unless you want to play:D

on start up everything is ON

one click turns everything off, a light of a vette fishtailin will show on/around the RPM tach.

or hold it down until you hear a beep and on the DIC display will say "competitive mode"

on all start up I turn everything off, at the 1/4 I put it on Competitive mode...

I recommend not turning everything off, but not leaving the TC on, so "competitive mode" is the choice :thumb: our cars have that option, many sports dont have AH, and the ones that do dont have the option to turn off TC and leave AH on, thats just stupid :bs: :eek:o:

Yes that is right. When you start the car, everything is on. If you hit the button everything is COMPLETELY off. :NoNo: :NoNo: Not recommended in my book. If you push and hold the button for 5 seconds or maybe even a bit longer, you will go into Competitive Driving which turns TC off so you can spin the tires as much as you want, but leaves AH on incase the car gets a little too far out of hand.

It has saved me on a couple of occasions and now I either drive with everything completely on or in Comp. mode.

I wish there was a way to make the system default to comp mode on start up!

Or how about

All on = "Drag race embarrassment" mode
All off = " Smack the curb or (worse yet) the wall" mode
Competitive mode = "Best bet most of the time" :yeadog:
