Once Competition Mode is displayed on the DIC, you will have to press the Reset button to restore the DIC display to the previous screen you had (odometer, coolant temp, etc).

Good catch GOLD I forgot about that. Also I leave Active Handling on. So my procedure is as follows. Start Car, Push AH button this turns AH off. I push the button agian and hold for the 5 seconds, this turns AH on and puts car in comp. mode. Then I hit the reset to put the DIC back to normal.

I wish there was a way to make Comp mode the default.

PA_Z06 - Your reply implies that the car will revert back to Traction Control (with AH) mode everytime you turn off the engine. I had assumed it would remain in Competition mode until manually changed. I just put mine in Competition mode just a week ago or so but I have to confess that I don't know if it still is or not.

The system will revert back to AH and TC both on as soon as you recycle the ignition OR when you press the AH button on the console. The is no documented way that I've heard to have the system default to competition mode. Each invocation requires a decision and discrete action by the driver.

Hasten to add. It's VERY risky to drive on public roads with AH turned off. Competition mode is OK.
