I have noticed in the last week that, generally in the morning after starting the Z, the display resets to showing the Odometer. In addition to this the fuel mileage average data also resets.

I notice that on starting, the voltage drops to 9 volts on the display. I think that the battery is dropping to the point that the computer is reseting volatile data.

Does this sound possible?

The car does turn over and start, maybe just a little slower than usual.

I have also done 3 LSEdit writes to the computer.

If it is the battery, any suggestions on replacement (Stock, etc)

Thanks

Are the capacities of these batteries the same as the factory battery?

2 Batteries in 1
ODYSSEY® batteries combine in one box the characteristics of two separate batteries. It can deep cycle (be recharged) as well as provide enormous cranking power.
Military Grade
Only Hawker ODYSSEY batteries are based on the same battery technology offered by Hawker to the military for aircraft and tank batteries. Odyssey batteries are of military grade and have endured rigorous tests that demonstrate their overall ruggedness and exceptional tolerance of mechanical abuse.

Superior cranking and fast charge capability
The 5 second cranking power of ODYSSEY® batteries is double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries, even when the temperature is as low as - 40°C. Also, with simple constant voltage charging (alternator or independent charger), there is no limitation on the inrush current, so the user is assured of a fast charge.

It's mounted pretty much like the Odyssey in the picture, except it's standing up to facilitate the battery connections.

I've had similar problems that were actually the battery leads not the battery, though I had replaced the battery before I found that out.

The positive terminal on the battery lead had corroded and the internal toothed copper washer had eroded away with a resultant poor connection. I sprayed the terminal and area liberally with baking soda dissolved in water to get rid of the corrosion, bought some stainless steel spring washers to fit under the lead terminals and sprayed the area liberally with lithium grease to keep water and air out.

Very occassionally I see the symptoms exactly as you describe. Moving the terminals to reseat the washers solves the problem every few months.

You certainly seem to be having a battery about to go dead.

Sounds like your next mod needs to be the an Optima Red Top!

Good luck.
