Well, our little family unit made it up to the show today, and it was definitely worth the trip. Lots of great Vettes, and more importantly - a lot of great people.

Got to talk to Dean Holmburg, the new car manager at Criswell, and he told me that he will do everything possible to get my '02 EB order a TPW by the end of this month. I told him that I understood that there will likely be significant constraints on this color for a while, even for a dealership like Criswell who gets a very healthy allocation.

Got to meet some local Z06ers - Lazygun and BaddassZ06 who were kind enough to answer some of my questions regarding their ownership experiences. Great cars, guys - and I am looking forward to joining the club hopefully this fall.

Even my kid had a good time, especially after making friends with a Univ of Md student showing a torch red (her favorite color) vert. Gotta keep my eye on him, least he has good taste in transportation...

Show was great. Had my White Z06 there...Unfortunately did not get to meet everybody. Maybe next show we should try and meet at a central place and drive over so we get to park together. We had 4 Z06's lined up today at one time. Nobody had a camera!

I really enjoyed the show and meeting those of you I had a chance to. I guess everyone was looking at the cars at different times so we really never got a chance to meet. I am gonna try and go to Old dominion speedway and do some autoXing, anyone want to go I was told its Northern VA club holding the event and there is a lot of competion. sounds like fun to me. LOL
BLEUBYU thanks for the info and good luck with you 2002, I always have my eyes pealed for cars so I will keep a look out for you if Criswell cant pull it off. Hopefully they will. Sounds like an idea to all get together!!

For BadassZ06 and others in Northern Va looking for a club which is heavily into competition try: www.nvcorvetteclub.com. If you can beat their perennial champ Chuck Wasserot, you will be one of the better hotshoes in the country. Some of these guys are seriously good...

If the comp bug bites me again (did it for 11 years) I might take 'ol blu' out now and again - once I get it!!
