The Corvetteforum and Troy did well on that. Bringing a 'big wheel' like Hill to the net is a great opener for others.


One excerpt about Z06 that caught my eye from that site;

Yeah, last night at our Corvette Club meeting they were planning to support Homecoming at various schools by providing cars to escort the Homecoming queens and their courts. Someone said to me "what a shame that you cannot participate because you have neither a vert or a coupe. I just smiled and said: "well, ya know this car does have a few unique good features, maybe i should take you for a little spin around the block sometime" :lol:

Then again, I do think I found my first serious flaw - the inability to get a nubile 17 year old Activity Queen in my car. :roll:

My wife however, is an excellent shot who lacks a sense of humor about these things...

From all the stuff that Dave said this caught my attention the most: "We think Chrysler is trying to improve the Viper to the point where it might become a Corvette competitor." That's a pretty bold statement in my opinion.:roll: As much as I'm a fan of the Z06 I think it should be more like "GM has finally improved the Z06 to the point where it can compete with the Viper."

I thought the interview was as good as it could be..ZO6 will continue because it is a great success..No sequential..shifter..(personal boo)..

New colors..increased production..higher sales with 0 % finacing..

Biggest improvement in interior quality?

I know we hear how the quality of the interior is not so fanastic..but I never really cared...I like the interior..my butt is happy on that cheapo leather..

If a person needs softer leather and such..most can be bought aftermarket..

ZO6..stays as an hardtop..cool..wonder if the C6 Z06 will be a shape similiar to convertible with top up as is now..or ..just a fast back with no lift off panels?

Wonder if it will be somewhat like the new 427 GM is showing in some of the magazines?

What do you feel are the Corvette's biggest competitors in the performance sector? Would you say the C6 will be competing and/or in the same class with the newly updated Dodge Viper and the Porsche 911's?

Today, the most popular competitors are the BMW Z3 and the Porsche Boxster, but we outsell both of them combined. We think the C5 already compares quite favorably to the Porsche 911 and the Z06 with the 911 Turbo. We think Chrysler is trying to improve the Viper to the point where it might become a Corvette competitor.

The strongest characteristics of the C5 are its great structural integrity, which helps enable a wonderful combination of handling and ride. In the next generation, we're seeking the biggest improvement of all in the interior richness and refinement.

Hehehehee.. the most common negative thing about Z06 or C5's
in general is "ugly interior"... I can't wait to see the improvement
