Dave Hill speaks on the Z06 and ...

At the C5 Registry Banquet Fri night we got to meet all the C5R drivers and hear Dave speak about the Z06. He said Z06 parts (engine, tranny, suspension pieces, etc.) will NOT be made available on the coupe or vert.
He said if you want those parts buy the Z06! Can you beat that?

Sat. when we were in the Skybox, we sat with Dave and watched the race with him for a half hour. I reminded Dave of our conversation at the BG Labor Day celeb. that many of us Z06 owners would like holes in the back of our seats like the sport seats have so we could run racing harnesses through them. He didn't commit, but he said he remembered our earlier conversation. Let's hope it works.

Not just yet. I am still waiting to hear from you if the Caravaggio Z06 convertible counts, I think it might. All I said is that LS6 will be in the Vette.

This is the same Dave Hill that said, and I heard him say it, the 2000 has all new column lock parts and it will not lock like the 99's did, that of course was the BIG LIE the parts were the same, so it's not over yet.

JC, from what I heard, GM is well aware of all the Forums.

Frank, thanks. Carl should pay up now. If he turns out right you can always pay it back.

Wimp out? What's that about it's not over yet (Caravaggio) I do not know why that keeps popping up
I think we might have to seek outside fair judges
( I will find them, trust me
) That 02 test mule that crashed had a LS6 in it, does that count? Remember 2002 is a long way away and if you do not trust me I will send you the beer in advance

I agree with you, making the seat with no hole for a belt was a mistake. However when talking to peole that have the hole, they do say that they can not use ot for a good belt system... Don't know why? Something about the belt hitting the neck.

GM is watching and reading all the forums and they pay attention.
Everyone was asking for a pass. air bag cut off switch and you got it, For one example.
And the Z06 is another.
Sorry Carl no LS6 in the Coupes or Convertibles

Nice meeting you and Mrs Ripped.Z06
