I just had warranty work done on my 2004 Z06 to replace a defective oil pump. The car has 2100 miles on it. Just curious if anyone else had the same problem. Mine had a sticky valve in it which delayed any oil pressure from showing up till about two minutes after starting. Luckily all my gauges screamed at me ! Anyway, it runs like new again after my local Chevrolet dealer replaced it. Whew ! I had a couple of sleepless nights while it was in the shop.......

Glad you got your car straightened out !

If the valve had stuck too long you really could had some major problems !

I have heard of it happening on the LS1's but not on a LS6. I believe their are a couple of aftermarket companies that make upgraded pumps.

Glad to hear it you got it worked out quickly, without pain.
