I know they said not to regap them, but I got a few peple telling me the gap should be .055, I know the NGKs are gapped at that when you buy the Iridiums.

I was very careful when gapping not to damage the iridium tip or bend it.

Should I not have gapped them? Should I return the gap to .040? I just a search and seems like overall consensus was not to gap them. Now that I screwed that part up, should I pull them all out and regap them to .040 or just leave them be at .055?

I know from boosting days in my previous car the smaller gap is better when you are adding more power.

So you leaning toward leaving it at .055 or leaving it at the Delco .040?

Since you already gapped them at .055 I would leave them. I don't think it will make much of a difference.

I've read that iridium plugs should not be regapped. I think I remember reading that the tips have some sort of coating that should not be scratched/damaged.

Since you already regapped/installed them, I would leave them alone. I would swap them out a little earlier than normal.
