In response to lots of feedback from many racers who have attended our events in the past, we are implementing the following rule changes effective immediately for all remaining Showdowns, including the upcoming June 18th event:

1. All cars must be currently tagged, inspected, insured and have mufflers (no open headers). We have allowed open headers in the past, but people started showing up with no exhaust in place whatsoever (besides headers), giving them a weight advantage on top of the power gains.

2. Tires are limited to 345s or 11.5" widths. This applies to ALL classes. (Compound limitations are unchanged, i.e. True Street is still a Drag Radial/D.O.T. class, etc.)

3. All cars must have a full interior with both front seats. You may run with only one front seat if you are running a 5 pt. rollbar or greater. (This isn't a new rule, but it's worth mentioning.)

Remember guys, this event is for street cars, and while we don't want to bog you down in rules, our leniency in the past has been taken advantage of in some cases. These changes should help alleviate those issues. For complete rules, directions, etc., please visit our website: xtremecorvettes.com

Thanks and I hope to see many of you out at Hallsville on June 18th.
