We have a C6 Vert on the showroom floor now, and was just looking at it the other day.. Showing my buddy all the cool new options the C6 had to offer... The top is down in the showroom, if that makes any diffrence, but I couldnt get the indexing glass to work?

Thanks!

no, as far as i know the c6 did not implement indexing glass as you would see on a bmw/porsche/benzo. They stuck with the same window seals as the c5 had. indexing glass wouldve been cool, but then you wouldnt be able to jimmy your car open with a hangar as easily!!!

Hi there,
Yes, they all (c6) have indexing glass.
If the battery went dead, they would have to reset the indexing feature.

It would have been nice, if they carried the indexing glass feature over to the back hatch. So any time the hatch was opened the windows would go down a 1/4 of an inch and go back up when the hatch was closed. :D

Hi there,
All you do is start your engine, push both window switches down, then push down 2 seconds more to set the down stop.
Then, push the up button till they are all the way up, then push the up 2 more seconds to set the up stop.
Then, turn off your engine and get out of the vehicle.
Your indexing function will work normally.

The hatch on the C6 has a power pull-down mechanism that allows you to close the hatch no problem with the front windows rolled up... eliminating the trunk and hatch closing problems associated with the C5.

The C6 coupe does have this feature but the C6Z does not. I have to crack a door open to get it to close easily.
Ahh... thanks for clearing that up Norm. I have a C6 coupe in the house, not a C6 Z06. I guess deleting that part contribues to wieght savings on the Z.

Oh cool. I haven't needed it yet, but the info will be useful should I ever run into the problem. Thanks for sharing.

Wonder how hard it would be to install it on the z06. I'm going to assume that the z06 and coupe have the same wiring in the back (only so GM could save $$) If this is the case I wonder if its a simple module install and plug in to get the feature to work
