what is the torque setting o n a Z06 drain plug. I called several dealers and guess what, not a clue.

Thanks,however usually with an aluminum oil pan there is a torque setting. Please, does anyone know? Thanks

Whoa....easy there Flipper....1/4 turn from finger tight...that will work it you want it to come out your valve covers. I dont have a number but I have a motorcycle w/aluminum pan...I'll get you a torque figure for that when I get off work. Ancient mechanics proverb:

As I recall, it was about 17-22 ft lbs on the oil drain plug. A good snugging with a hand wrench is about right.
